Upgrade or replace computer components such as Memory, Hard Drive, DVD/CD Drives, wired and wireless network cards, video cards, power supply, etc., Install and configure software – Anti-virus and firewall software, for example, Network setup or troubleshooting – connect to the internet, set up wireless networking, add new computers and printers to your network, Set up a home server for sharing files and connect other home computers to the server, Update/upgrade your computer’s Operating System, Completely wipe and rebuild your computer, preserving all your data, Transfer data between computers, Set up a data backup system using external USB flash or hard disk drives, Remove Viruses and Spyware from your computer, Provide training on software, hardware, or networking, And anything else you can think of!
How our Home Computer Services Work
Our general practice, if you need to buy any hardware or software as part of our service, is to make the purchase for you from a large local retailer and give you the original receipt, charging no markup. Or you can do your own shopping for it if you like.
There are two good reasons for doing this, and both of them are in your favour:
1. You pay the lowest possible price.
2. You retain ownership of the warranty, and when buying from a large retailer, returns are generally easy if there’s ever a problem.
We are only interested in being a computer services provider and not a retailer – we hope our focus on service provides good results!
Most issues can be fixed with a single onsite visit. Sometimes, if it is large or lengthy job like wiping/rebuilding a computer, we’ll take your equipment offsite and work on it from our home base and deliver it to you when completed. We’ll give you a solid cost and delivery time estimate before we begin, of course.
Computer Service Rates
Our rate for home-based computer service is $95.00/hr with a one-hour minimum.
Of course, if the solution to the problem is obviously something simple that you can do yourself, we'll let you know over the phone or by email when you contact us - we won't let you waste your money!
